Made It Out Media
Made It Out is a unique, fresh media brand built for people with stories — the kind that don’t fit neatly into boxes or bios. We’re queer-led, story-obsessed, and driven by the community who all share the centered feeling of not only making their way out of the closet, but how they navigate the world with their own deeply unique identities and personalities.
Made It Out not only celebrates this community, but our mission is to amplify the voices in it.
Mallorie Glowenke
Host, Creator
Mal Glowenke is a pioneering force in the lesbian podcast scene, turning rejection into a successful platform that highlights queer voices. When traditional media overlooked her vision, Mal used her community’s support to create "Made It Out," which quickly gained popularity, attracting over 400K followers within its first year, and earning a Webby Award Honoree for Best Video Podcast Series as well as a 2025 GLAAD nomination for Best Podcast. The podcast, consistently ranking in Spotify’s Top 20 Society & Culture US Chart, features Mal’s raw discussions on the experiences of queer women. Notable guests include Ali Krieger, Fortune Feimster, Dylan Mulvaney and more. Beyond the podcast, Made It Out has larger plans to become a digital media company - with several new shows in development.Mal is a prominent figure in the LGBTQ+ space. She is an LPAC board member and participates in events such as LA’s Pride in the Park, GLAAD’s Tidings, SXSW, was recently invited to attend the DNC as a creator, and was a speaker at organizing events this election season - establishing herself as a key voice in the community.
Rachel Samples
Out For A Drive Host
Rachel Samples is a Los Angeles-based comedian and creator who refuses to write about herself in the first person (yes, even now). She’s got a soft spot for scripting in the third person, building absurd characters, and making videos and sketches that rack up millions of laughs. Her brand of content zeroes in on relationships, womanhood, pop-culture (she once got told she looks like a Temu-version of Blake Lively), and—proudly—her queer-woman identity. She’s the creator and host behind Hey Cool Car(an interview series with vintage cool cars) and Out for a Drive, the only queer game show that takes place inside a U-Haul. When she’s not interviewing celebs on red carpets (yes, Rose Byrne once said “she looks like Gwyneth Paltrow”), you’ll find her collaborating with her funniest pals on sketches, doing improv, or most likely snapping photos of vintage cars she wants to steal.
